This letter nearly brought me to tears. I was so very touched by your words, and so humbled to hear that my blog has helped you in any way. Please keep your strength and never lose hope. Hope and perseverance can carry us through the most difficult of situations. I’m so happy to learn that my blog has helped you find some of the tools you need to combat your depression and to see the bright side. To all of my followers (and to the sender of this comment specifically)… This is why I post on Electric Raspberry. This is why I write, and why I love this community as much as I do. Words are a powerful thing. Words can lift someone up and motivate them just as easily as they can tear them down. Be kind to one another and by kind to yourself. You deserve to be treated well. I hope that in some small way I can offer a bit of relief and inspiration for my followers.  Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. You’ve inspired me as well!   • We hold tight to happy memories. We keep them close and dig our nails deep into them.

    We’re afraid that they were so perfect, that they will never be recreated.

    That they will never come again.

    So when we play a song and it resonates deep in our hearts,

    or we smell a book that pulls us backwards,

    we feel our other selves.

    We touch people who left long ago.

    We remember places we used to go

    and the people we once were.
