Electric Raspberry

Hello beautiful followers.

I don’t typically write personal posts, but I’m aware that I’ve been a bit MIA on my various social media accounts recently. So, I’ve decided to be open and to share with you a little about my life at the moment. In addition, I’m considering making some changes to Electric Raspberry and I would love your HONEST opinions.

First things first. Life has been very stressful recently. I’ve had ongoing infections for a couple of weeks now and I’ve been feeling fairly miserable. I have a delicate immune system and though many have commented before on my petite frame, it is not something to idolize. Infections can last a bit longer, colds last for weeks, and I become exhausted very easily. This is why I tell the beautiful young women following me to take care of themselves. Eat, love your body, cherish it. Health is SO important. I’m sad to read negative posts regarding girl’s figures. This should not be the defining quality in young women. Enjoy your life and celebrate how intelligent and unique you are. Your body is the home that will hold you for all of your life. Fill that home with love.

In addition to the stress of being ill, my family has been suffering through a very difficult time. Financial problems are common, but they are also very stressful, and our lifestyle has changed dramatically. Unfortunately, it’s caused my family a lot of upset and sadness. I try my best to look for inspiration and to share that with all of you. But watching my family struggle through this difficult time has made it just a bit harder to see the silver lining.

Sometimes life is overwhelming, and I’m reaching out to my followers to tell you that my life certainly is not perfect. No one has a perfect life. The goal is to strive for something better. If you’re sad, cheer yourself up. If you’re sick, care for yourself. If you’re angry, release that anger and allow yourself to be open to happiness.

Now, in regards to Electric Raspberry…I’ve been posting on the blog for over 2 1/2 years now. I began when I was 19 and I am now 21. Over time, my taste has changed, and though I still adore all that is pink, dusted in glitter, and smells like spun sugar, I have other facets of my personality that I would like to share with you. I love campfires,  wild animals, minimal makeup, natural landscape, a good toasted sandwich, boys with tattoos. I’m aware that many of my followers love the fun and feminine quality of Electric Raspberry, but are you open to a slight switch in post content? I’d also like to potentially switch formats on the blog. Maybe a collage-type layout that displays lot’s of posts. I would love your thoughts! Feel free to send me ask box messages. Though I don’t respond to everyone publicly, I do my best to write personal responses and get back to the majority of you.

If you’ve taken the time to read this, then I truly appreciate it. My blogs mean so much to me, and you’re a large part of the reason why. Your encouraging words have brought me to tears at times, and the Tumblr community can be a really warm and beautiful forum for sharing thoughts.
