No disrespect to your post about thinspo websites, you said some really touching things. But how can you expect yourself to not be used when you upload pictures of your tiny frame on to here and instagram? I know myself as soon as I see them I think 'Gosh I want to be that slim'. It's just a bit ironic how one moment your fighting against being used as thinsperation, and then next your giving your followers something to 'thinspire' them.
You’re entitled to your opinion on the matter, but I won’t apologize for the way that I look. The point I try to make is that I wish it were easier for girls to recognize the beauty in our differences—for it to be easier for young women to support eachother and see the distinct beauty in one another as well as themselves. I am who I am. I am my personality, my thoughts, my beliefs, my face, and yes, my body as well. I won’t censor my photos for other people. I strive to feel confident in myself as a whole. My friends are of all different shapes, sizes, and ethnic backgrounds and they are all beautiful. We support eachother and we see the beauty in our differences—what makes us unique. I want for all women to feel proud of who they are.
